About Disaster Prevention Facilities
Tokyo Metropolitan Government are equipping any facilities
Disaster Prevention Toilet, solar power light system, Kamado bench(stove bench) for example, for Disaster Prevention in the park. Roads in the park designated as base for rescuing are being made wider enough and strongly built for helipad or emergency vehicle in emergency case.

Will be a big problem about the toilets in case of sheltering? This "Manhole Toilet" can be used with no water-supply and no electricity-supply.
Manhole connected to sewage pipe below the surface will be opened, seat will be put. Tent keeps privacy for people to use.

Solar power light system in the park
Light will be turned on, even in case of no electricity power supply, by solar power generation. We will be able to find the places for sheltering by this light as a mark.
It can accept solar power by its panels and charge into the battery in day time.
Another kind of solar light system which can turn LED light on in normal situation also are equipping in the parks.

Kamado bench(stove bench)
Benches in that parks can become stove after removing the wooden seat part in case of disaster. We can cook with using fire. (Some variation of benches)

How to use
- Taking away upper part
- Putting fuel, wood or leaves, on the bottom of the bench
- Putting steal tool on the upper part
- Setting the fire and putting steal net for cooking.
Depends upon each bench shape, how to use and set up are different.
Upper wood part which are moved can be used as a table.

If no water supply, we can draw up the water by human power.
We can secure domestic water by using this pump.

Fire prevention water tank
In case of big disaster breaking out, we can expect many fires will break out and spread all at the same.
We need to prepare enough water for fire prevention in earth quake situation. Fire brigade, fire prevention citizen group in local area can use this tank.
Emergency water supply tank
This is the facility for supplying water in case of no water works and no sewage system works.
Temporary helipad
Helicopter will be used for rescue and save the life, fire fighting, carrying many goods in case of no transportation by the cause of disaster.
Designated places in the parks are assigned for temporary helipad for using of Self Defense Force beforehand.
Baseball field or athletic field, square for example will become helipad.
The building in a park have helipad mark, which can be used as temporary helipad.
Some facilities in the parks are assigned to play a role for rescuing severe injured people and carrying medical goods near by temporary helipad.
We need huge space for helipad. We advise all of you to understand the designated places where you will go, and check the places in the parks. Our mission to keep these spaces is important.
