Kyu-Shiba-Rikyu Gardens

One of Tokyo's remaining early Edo feudal lord gardens.

Tsukiji

The Tsukiji Market, the "kitchen of Japan," and the beautiful Indian-style architecture of the Tsukiji Hongan-ji temple are popular sights for visiting.

Imperial Palace Outer Gardens

A popular tourism spot close to Tokyo Station. Containing historical landmarks such as the ruins of Edo Castle and an abundance of natural beauty, the Imperial Palace Outer Gardens are prefect for a walk.

Hibiya Park

Flowers bloom in vivid colors throughout the year in the parks flower beds, making the park a popular place for people working in the nearby business district to take a moment and relax.

Zojo-ji temple

One of the seven head temples of the Pure Land sect of Buddhism and famous as the family temple of the Tokugawa shogun clan. The temple buildings contain vestiges of early Edo period architecture and are designated a National Important Cultural Property.

Tokyo Tower

Be sure to check out the viewing platform, which offers a panoramic view of Tokyo; on clear days, one can see all the way to Mt. Fuji and the Boso Peninsula.

Senso-ji temple

The Senso-ji temple is the oldest Buddhist temple in Tokyo. It is said that the Asakusa area was once the center of the development of Edo culture. Nakamise-dori in front of the temple gates is also one of the oldest shopping arcades in Japan.

Ueno Park

A culturally rich park where both children and adults can have fun at places such as the Tokyo National Museum, the National Museum of Western Art, and Ueno Zoo.

Meiji Shrine

Visited by the most worshipers of any shrine in Japan on the first day of the new year, Meiji Shrine is one of Japan’s most famous shrines. In recent years it has also became famous as a “power spot Ewhich invigorates those who visit. In June, one can view Japanese irises in full bloom in the Imperial Garden.
