【終了しました】初秋の伝統の行事 2024 『虫ききの会』開催のお知らせ “Mushikiki-no-kai” Listening to Insects Festival
向島百花園では、江戸時代から続く伝統行事「虫ききの会」を開催します。虫の音を聞きながら秋の訪れを感じ、鳴く虫を観賞しながらその風情をお楽しみください。イベント開催期間中は開園時間を21時まで延長し、行灯（あんどん）やぼんぼりに照らされた幻想的な夜の庭園をご覧いただけます。
Insect release ceremony, in which the bell crickets bred in Mukojima-Hyakkaen are released into the garden while praying for everyone's health, and listening to insects event, in which everyone listens to the sound of insects chirping in the garden, are collectively known as “Mushikiki-no-kai”.
During the event period, the park's opening hours will be extended until 9:00 pm, allowing you to view the magical night garden illuminated by Andon and paper lanterns.

１．日時 令和6年8月22日（木）～8月25日（日）
各日9時～21時（入園時間は20時30分まで）
２．内容
（１）虫の展示
日 時：期間中毎日 16時～21時 ※荒天中止
場 所：売店前四阿（あずまや）
内 容：スズムシ等の鳴く虫を展示します
協 力：日本鳴く虫保存会
（２）放虫式
日 時：期間中毎日 17時～17時30分 ※雨天中止
場 所：売店前広場
内 容：お客様に園内でスズムシを放虫していただきます
参 加 費：無料（入園料別途）
定 員：各日30名
参加方法：16時40分より売店前広場にて受付を行います（事前申し込み不要）
そ の 他：虫の販売や配布は行っていません
（３）茶会
日 時：8月24日（土）・25日（日） 15時～20時（最終受付19時30分）
場 所：御成座敷
内 容：向島百花園茶会によるお点前の披露とお抹茶の提供を行います
どなたでもお気軽にご参加いただける茶会です
参 加 費：1席1,000円（入園料別途）
定 員：各回10名
参加方法：14時30分～19時まで、御成座敷前にて受付を行います（定員に達し次第終了）
（４）虫細工教室
日 時：8月25日（日）10時～12時、 14時～16時 （製作時間40分程度） ※荒天中止
場 所：売店前四阿（あずまや）
内 容：草で虫の姿を工作します
講 師：川島 康義氏（野遊び研究家）
参 加 費：無料（入園料別途）
定 員：15人（当日先着順、事前申し込み不要）
参加方法：直接会場にお越しください
（５）絵行灯の点灯
日 時：期間中毎日 18時～21時 ※雨天中止
内 容：俳句・俳画の描かれた絵行灯に、明かりを灯します

Insect Release Ceremony: 5:00pm-5:30pm everyday during the period
Tea Ceremony
Aug. 24 (Sat.) ･25 (Sun.), 3:00pm-7:30pm, 30 minutes each time
1 seat ¥1,000 (admission fee not included)
Reception at Onari-zashiki house from 2:30pm on the day. (will close when capacity is reached)
The 'tea ceremony’ seems intimidating. Can everyone join it?
The tea ceremony is for beginners who can experience it sitting in a chair, so you don't need to know anything about it. You can come dressed as you like, without any preparation, and experience it as a first step into a profoundly traditional culture.
Insect Crafting Class
Aug. 25 (Sun.), 10:00am-12:00am / 2:00pm-4:00pm, at the gazebo by the shop
Is “Insect Crafting” difficult?
In the classes, we do a little detail work, but everyone is welcome to join. Small children will have a better experience if they are accompanied by an adult.
At night, the garden is softly lit by picture lanterns and bonbori Japanese paper lanterns.
What are picture lantern and bonbori?
They are old-fashioned lighting with a candle lit inside to brighten dark areas.
Can we drink beer, etc.?
In the garden, shop “Sahara” sells light meals and alcohol.
Come and enjoy the cool of the evening.
